"Their Fight Is Our Fight" Photos. . . and Legends is now on Twitter!

Legends MMA is now Twittering. Follow us at Twitter.com/legendsmma and get updates on new classes, guest instructors, PPV viewing parties, and more!

"Their Fight Is Our Fight" earns a victory.

Sundays are usually off-days for Legends MMA, but this weekend, on October 25th, there was good reason for an added workout. MMA personality Miss Rara organized 'Their Fight Is Our Fight," a day-long MMA seminar benefit for victims of the recent typhoons in the Philippines. Legends MMA was proud to provide a venue for this important cause to take place.

Brandon Vera, Shane Del Rosario, Romie Adanza, and Mark Munoz all taught various techniques and strategies for MMA and Muay Thai. Later in the day, former WEC champion Urijah Faber and UFC ring girl Ariany Celeste came by to sign autographs and take pictures for fans.

Their Fight Is Our Fight was sponsored by Fight Chix, Gameness, Little Manila Foundation, Toe2Toe, TapouT, The Underground, MMA Warehouse, OTM, Six Deuce, Search to Involve Pilipino Americans, and of course Legends MMA.

Below are highlights from the day.

Takashi Munoz and Ryan Lupkes appearing now on “The College Experiment” on FoxSports.com.

As if Legends’ fighters Takashi Munoz and Ryan Lupkes didn’t get enough sparring practice at the gym, you can now see them on the internet with some rather unusual training methods, as they star in a segment called “The World’s Most Unscientific Predictions / Mascot MMA” on the weekly internet show “The College Experiment,” which posts on Wednesdays on FoxSports.com.

Each week, “The College Experiment” presents an MMA dramatization between two college football mascots whose teams play each other that week. Munoz and Lupkes will be the resident mascots for the duration of the college football season, which goes until the championships in January 2010.

To catch up on the Munoz-Lupkes battles, click on the clips here:

Dan Hardy vs. Mike Swick confirmed for UFC 106
Legends MMA’s favorite Brit Boy, Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy, has a new opponent for his upcoming match on November 14th – Mike “Quick” Swick.

Hardy was originally supposed to face Dong-hyun Kim, but after Kim had to withdraw from the match due to a training-related injury.

When asked about his reaction to the change in challenge, Hardy said via email "this is a much better opportunity for me. I always fight better as the underdog. I don’t want to be giving people behind me a chance to step into my place. I would rather look ahead and try to take someone else’s spot.”

“Because I found out early in the camp, it really hasn’t been a problem switching things up. I will just go in there and fight my fight, I'm confident I'll stop him in the distance."

Legends MMA wishes Dan the best of success in his fight with Mike “Quick” Swick.
